Nobody will profit from this event, and so all of the costs represent actual costs incurred for the activities. The organizers make an effort to minimize those costs while maintaining quality.
Alumni are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the Sunshine Coast, and also will need to book their own lodging directly with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast (A$214/night as of June 2, for check in July 18 and check out on July 22). Alumni who are already officially attending IMO 2025 in some capacity (e.g., Coordinator, Leader, Deputy Leader, etc.) may already have a hotel room provided by the IMO, in which case they will only need 2 nights (check in July 20, check out July 22). Note that this hotel is different from the hotels used by the IMO, and is more centrally located in the Sunshine Coast.
For alumni who are not already officially attending IMO 2025 in some capacity, the site access fee to join the on-site IMO activities on July 19 and 20, including lunch and dinner on July 20, is A$400. (The IMO Alumni Reunion organizers will collect that fee, and pay it onward to the IMO Organization.) They will also need to directly pay for their own transportation to/from the IMO site on July 19 and 20. Uber costs approximately A$30 each way, and can be divided among multiple alumni if schedules coincide.
For alumni who wish to join the national park tour on July 20, the cost will be around A$250 per person. The IMO Alumni Reunion organizers will collect that fee, and pay it onward to the tour company.
Alumni will gather as a group for meals, and split the check at each meal.
