Welcome to the 4th year of the IMO Alumni Reunion. We invite former IMO contestants to attend a special event that overlaps with the final 2 days of IMO 2026 China, and then continues onward to a 2-day touristic excursion in the host country. The vision is to unite alumni from various IMO years and geographic origins, to build new connections and collaborations, which could significantly increase the collective impact of the IMO alumni community. Every single IMO contestant has extraordinary skill, and so everyone is worth getting to know well.
Since this is the 4th year, we are only able to have 50 alumni participants. We hope that the success of this year will allow us to significantly increase our capacity limit in future years. Interested alumni may apply to participate via the instructions here [LINK to /reunion/reunion-2026/selection], and will be admitted on a first-come-first served basis. Unfortunately, this event is only open to alumni who are approved via that procedure. Note that the application decision is purely on the basis of past IMO participation and time-of-application / time of-payment. There is no evaluation of the person’s post-IMO achievements.
Alumni are responsible for all of their own costs.
Crucially, since most of the IMO contestants are children, under no circumstances should an alumnus be alone with a contestant (even if they are from the same country). Anyone violating this condition will be required to leave the IMO contestant site immediately. The safest way to interact at the IMO contestant site is to remain in public spaces at all times.
